Resorts
& Campsites:
There are no resorts on the lake but there is a small undeveloped
area for rough camping. Cartop boats can be launched at the lake.
BCFS campsites can be found at nearby Vidette, Deadman, Skookum
and Snohoosh Lakes.
Fishing
Report: Fatox is reported to be a good producer of Rainbows
that reach into the 3 lb. class or better. Trolling small lures
and spinning gear are the preferred method of fishing however fly
fishing has met with success.

Lakes
Vidette
Lake Vidette Lake, located northwest of Fatox, is
considered a good family lake. Rainbows to 3 lbs. are caught on
flies or by trolling. A good quantity of Kokanee are also present
in the lake. Vidette has a BCFS campsite with cartop boat launching.
Deadman Lake, located south of Vidette offers a good fishery for
Rainbow and Kokanee that reach into the 2 lb. range. The lake
has a timbered 10 vehicle BCFS campsite with cartop boat launch.
Skookum Lake can be found immediately to the south of Deadman.
Trolling for Rainbows and Kokanee up to 2 lbs., is the most popular
method of fishing. Skookum has an open, 15 vehicle grassy BCFS
campsite with cartop boat launch. Snohoosh Lake, south of Skookum,
is the largest of these 5 lakes. Rainbows and Kokanee up to 2
lbs. are caught successfully by trolling, spinning or on the fly.
A timbered 5 vehicle BCFS campsite with cartop boat launch is
available. All in all this area of the Southern Interior Plateau
offers fine recreational value for families, along with the spectacular
scenery of Deadman Creek Valley that features colorful sandstone
formations known as "Hoodoos".
