Located approximately 70 km. (43.4 mi.) northeast of the city
of Kamloops. There are a
couple different ways of reaching McGillivray. Perhaps the easiest
is via Heffley-Louis Creek Road. From Kamloops travel north on
Hwy. #5 (Yellowhead Hwy.) for 22.5 km. (14 mi.). Turn east (right)
onto the Heffley-Louis Creek Road. Follow this road past Heffley
Lake and east to McGillivray. Watch for signs marking the way.
A small 5 vehicle BCFS campsite with a cartop boat launch can
be found on the lake.
