Location: The lake is located 40 km (25 mi) west of Port Alberni via Highway 4 to a small logging road just past the west end of Sproat Lake. A 4X4 is recommended for the last 2 km of the access road. Size 58.5 ha. (144.49 ac) Shoal 46.3 ha. (114.36 ac.) Mean Depth 12.9 m. (42.31 ft) Max. Depth 32 m. (104.96 ft.) Game Fish Steelhead, Rainbow Trout Fish Stocked Steelhead Angler Usage Low Elevation 670 m. (2197.6 ft.) Ice Over November to April T.D.S. 24 mg/l Resorts & Campsites: Camping is permitted at nearby Sproat Lake. A car top boat launch is provided. Fishing Report: The best fishing occurs in June and September-October. The lake was recently stocked with steelhead fry. Be sure to visit Fishbc.com for angling information! Nearby Lakes Kennedy & Muriel Lake - Kennedy Lake holds some large cutthroat. Anglers have had luck with suitable fly imitations.
