Black ant patterns, pheasant tail nymphs and wood ant and fire beetle flies are productive methods used by anglers visiting Catherine Lake. Nearby Lakes Bear Lake - Bear Lake is a small hike-in lake to the west of Catherine. Access is via a short road just south of the Catherine Lake turn-off then an easy hike of approximately 4 km (2.5 mi). Rainbow trout are resident in the lake.
