Wilson Lake
British Columbia

Location: Wilson Lake is located 15 km (9 mi) east of Nakusp via a good logging road. BCFS campgrounds are located on the lake. The eastern one provides a boat and canoe launch and campsites and the western one provides the above as well as a day-use/picnic area. The elevation of the lake is 970 m (3182 ft).

Fishing Report: Wilson Lake provides some of the best rainbow trout fishery in the Kootenays with fish of sizes up to 3 kg (6.5 lb). Kokanee is also abundant in the lake.

Nearby Lakes

Summit and Box Lakes - Both nearby Summit and Box Lakes are also known for their rainbow populations. Early season fly fishing and trolling are the methods used with the most success. Late summer and fall are also good.

Note: Always check your current BC Fishing regulations before you start fishing a new lake.
