Fishing Report: First stocked in 1968, Tahla is now being stocked annually with 2000 yearling Blackwater Rainbows. This is a very productive fishery, producing trout in the 2+ lb. range. A very beautiful lake with excellent fishing makes Tahla a great place to visit.

Nearby Lakes

Boss Lake - Located minutes to the south of Tahla is Boss Lake. Lying at an elevation of 1052 m. (3451 ft.), Boss has a surface area of 22 ha. (54 ac.). Stocked with 4000 Blackwater Rainbows in 1994, this is another lake that supports an excellent Rainbow fishery managed to provide fishermen with moderate catch rates for large trout. A 9 vehicle semi-open BCFS campsite with cartop boat launching can be found at the lake.

Davis Lake - Davis Lake, is situated just south of Boss. It is roughly the same size as Boss and provides a very good Rainbow fishery for trout up to 4 lbs. or better. 6000 yearling Blackwater Rainbow stock were put into Davis in 1994. This lake, like Tahla and Boss, receives heavy use and is managed for moderate catch rates and large trout. Davis has a 20 vehicle BCFS campsite situated in grassland and Douglas fir.

Note: Always check your current BC Fishing regulations before you start fishing a new lake.
