What can you
see and do at the Greater Vancouver Zoo? Well for starters you can
see dozens of wild animals large and small. From the Addax and African
Lion to the Zebra and Zebu Cattle, and everything in
between including Yaks and Monkeys, Turkeys and Swans, Frogs and even Reindeer.
At the Greater Vancouver Zoo we're dedicated to preserving and protecting endangered
species … and creating an educational environment that inspires
appreciation and concern about wildlife and wild places.

The
Greater Vancouver Zoo is located in the Fraser Valley community
of Aldergrove, just off the Trans-Canada Highway, in British Columbia
Canada 
Hop
on board the Safari Express Miniature Train. This is a fully narrated
tour that last 12 to 15 minutes, and children under 2 are free.
The free North American Wilds Safari Bus Tour is also a narrated
tour that takes you inside the North American Wilds enclosure of
the Greater Vancouver Zoo. You'll be able to watch the bears, wolves,
elk, and bison roam free in their natural habitat. Many interesting
facts about our North American animals are also revealed on this
safari-style tour. You and your family can tour around the entire
zoo under your own steam on board one of our 2 or 4-seater Quadra-cycles.
All cycles include two additional baby seats for your little ones!
Ask
about our Wild Night at the Zoo! Your evening may include camping
out under the stars, a program and cozy campfire, or a combination
of the entire package! These evening programs are great for any
age, and during the interpretive tour your guide will teach you
about some of the zoo animals. After the tour you can settle in
around the campfire and gaze at the stars! How about a Sleep-Over
at the Greater Vancouver Zoo? The Sleep-Over program requires at
least of 20 people, and we can accommodate large groups of
up to 300 people.
Learning
can be a Truly Wild Experience at the zoo. Teachers are invited
to inspire their students with a visit to the Greater Vancouver Zoo. Your class can explore on your own, you can reserve a train
tour, or take part in one of the many education programs. Our Education
programs are 45 to 60 minutes in length and are based on the B.C.
Ministry of Education curriculum.
The
