Fishing Report: Augier is a popular destination and contains good Rainbow and Lake Char populations. Fishing is considered good and consistent throughout the open water season. Trolling with various kinds of spoons, plugs, flatfish and spinning gear is the most productive method of fishing this lake.

Nearby Lakes

Babine Lake - Babine, a huge lake over 200 km. (124 mi.) long features Rainbow trout up to 12+ lbs., Lake Char to 30+ lbs. and Cutthroats to 2+ lbs. Babine is also a nursery lake for both Steelhead trout and Pacific Salmon which migrate from the Pacific Ocean, at Prince Rupert, up the Skeena River and then finally up the Babine River to the lake. Of course the Babine River is legendary for its huge Steelhead during the fall months, and is definitely one of those once in a life time trips. Campsites and boat launching can be found at many areas along the lake, however if you are in the Augier Lake area, access to Babine Lake can be found just north of Pinkut and Augier lakes.

Note: Always check your current BC Fishing regulations before you start fishing a new lake.
